That is the most frequent comment we hear from our patients after the procedure. Taking that next step to get your hair back should be an exciting experience! We want you to know exactly what to expect. Below is a typical timeline of a hair transplant procedure at Sante Medical.
You will meet with our Hair Restoration Specialists and discuss the following things:
You will look at pictures of patients who have undergone the procedure.
We will discuss your expectations and explain what you can realistically achieve with a hair transplant.
We will thoroughly explain the ARTAS, Max Growth and other non-surgical procedures.
We will identify your pattern of hair loss and examine your donor area to make sure you are a candidate for a procedure.
If indicated we will run blood tests and scalp biopsies to detect underlying imbalances or deficiencies that may be contributing to hair loss.
For your convenience, patients may access their medical history and Hair Restoration Patient Intake forms prior to your visit. Please click here to view and print the required forms.
During your follow-up consultation with Dr. Bobby Sreenivasan:
We will discuss any underlying imbalances or deficiencies that testing has identified that may be contributing to you hair loss problem.
We will review treatment options (including non-surgical) and recommend which procedure is right for you.
As part of your pre-operative instructions, we will provide guidelines on diet, hydration, sleep and other preparations, as well as talk about any prescriptions or supplements you are taking.
Get a short haircut prior to the procedure. Remember, hair grows quickly.
Do not cut your hair because we will use the ‘stealth’ technique to conceal your procedure. This will make the procedure less noticeable right after treatment.
Wash your hair the night before the surgery. Please do not add any gels or other products to your hair
For cases scheduled for more than four hours, we ask that you have breakfast or lunch before arriving at the clinic (though we do have snacks available)
Wear comfortable clothing – please wear a button-down shirt
Bring something to occupy your time such as a book to read. Smartphones or tablets are encouraged.
